I’m going to commit sacrilege while I’m going through my hydro 66 car and fit a pair of Shock absorbers. Couple of questions I could do with answers on.
1) What are the dimensions of the required mounting pins that I will need to fit the shock on to? I know they are 3/8 but I don’t know the rest of the info.
2) Can I strap the existing larger ST bump stops back in place using the same 3/8 pin mentioned above (currently 5/16 bolts)
Thanks a lot. Mark

I do this to every hydro car I have owned, you can retain the ST bump stops just drill out holes, the nylock nut does not pass the nylon as the bracket takes space try spring washer and slim nut.

Thanks. I have several old sets of dry arms
I will try to remove the pins tomorrow and hop them on to the wet arms
Just found Minispares sell them too if they prove too be too difficult to remove

Just a thought; but I would suggest you revert to the std size bump stops when fitting front shock absorbers to give them more room to do their thing before hitting the buffers.

Thanks. That was what crossed my mind. The ST ones are a good bit taller and chunkier

Many thanks Mab. You always come up trumps. I like the suggestion of whacking some hardwood in the hole..
