Roller rockers
Picked some parts in a trade this past weekend....set of new roller rockers as well as other nice bits.
Now, this may sound like a really dumb question....why are there a number of different colored sets?
This set is a copper color....is there some significance to the color....is it just different suppliers....or is there another reason?
Thanks.

Re: Roller rockers
MiniSpares have different colours to signify ratio and small or large bore and roller or bushed pivot.

Re: Roller rockers
D. You can calculate the ratio by measuring the distance between the rocker-shaft fulcrum & pushrod center-point and compare it to the distance between the same fulcrum and centerline of roller.

That's OK, there appears to be different styles (colors)...even different on 8 port.

Hi 360gts
You are probably best off scanning the various shops to see if you can find a 'match' to your unknown set.
They could be Harland Sharp type ?? ( this may be wrong name but something like that) ... look on the mini mania website or FASTAPT site
Some of the things to check........ shaft diameter, adjuster size and adjuster nut type / flanged etc.
Probably just stating what you already know.... so apologies if no help. Regards

Re: Roller rockers
Hello Dermott ,
I have one of those Harland Sharp rockers in my tuned car , they were sold without posts and advertised as ok to use with standard mini rocker posts giving 1.35 ratio
By the time i’ve played a bit with them and found with standard posts the geometry is crap ( bad alignment on the valve tip , and ratio was below 1.35 . I’ve ended up by having custom posts made and got close to 1.4 ratio , might have all the measurements/rockers dimensions Somewhere.
It took quite a lot of time and effort to get it right .
Cheers
Luís
