Just want to know what is a realistic figure regarding the torque output of a 1330ccm Engine?
Is 138Nm a realistic figure? (101ft/lb)

My 1380 put out peak of 106 ft/ib on one rolling road, but obviously that’s just on that RR. The important bit is the spread of the torque to get strong acceleration and match with suitable gearing.

I think a lot will depend on the cam used ...
The forerunner of the Mini .. the A35 .. lots of similarities except rear wheel drive. My engine contains a lot of Mini parts now and the bodyshell some Metro brake parts!

Generally for road use, I'd rather focus on a wide, plateau-like torque curve than the absolute peak value.
Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s
