Revotec electric fans for minis
Anyone got anything to say or had experience with these ?
https://revotec.com/acatalog/Mini-Tailo ... -Kits.html
Are they worth the effort ?
Are there better / worse alternatives ?
This is just a general interest type enquiry, triggered from tripping over them while internetting.
I haven't actually got any cooling problems that need solving.

Re: Revotec electric fans
In my view, unless you spend time in start / stop traffic, they are not worth fitting.
They won't take the place of the mechanically driven fan. There is no automotive electric fan available that will come within a bull's roar of moving the same CFM of air as the mechanical fan will.

I agree with Peter.
The ones above also seem quite expensive for what they are offering.

Re: Revotec electric fans
I fitted a revotec electric fan to my Mk1 when I thought it was running hot and despite changing the sender many times beforehand, I later found out the temp gauge/sender was over reading. So I fitted a brand new Smith mechanical gauge and probe, and the electric fan hardly ever comes on in traffic now!
