Re: Vans to fit a mini
I regularly move mine around in the back of my old (2003) Mercedes Sprinter mwb.
Easy to get in and out, even single handed with no winch and some dodgy plywood ramps and ratchet straps!

Mercedes Sprinter or a Luton Box van (an electric tail lift can be useful ....)

Box van does work very well - I do have a set of very long ramps that were made to get minis into said box van available

Thanx for your suggestions, here in my city the most common cargo van to rent is the Toyota Hiace, if someone know if it is also an option I would appreciate the feedback

Re: Vans to fit a mini
I rented a Hiace for a house clearout a few months ago, I'd be surprised if you could get a Mini in there. I picked up my Mini in an Iveco Daily box van with an electric loading bay door. I got the whole shell, two engines, loads of wheels & tyres, a gaggle of bucket seats, about 3 sets of doors and bootlids, and boxes and boxes of bits in no problem. I nearly rolled it on the way home though because the mini raised up on a stand in the boot lifted the centre of gravity so much. Bit too ambitious going on the on ramp on the motorway

Of course I know what a dipstick is, you get called something often enough you look it up!

Cheaper to rent a trailer. If the mini needs protecting, what about a blanket and a tight fitting strapped down cover? Just a thought

A Renault Master (or Vauxhaul Vivaro which is exactly the same, just different badging) will also do the trick.
