Engine Steady part no

Post by Minicooper1964 »

Does anyone know the original part no for the top engine steady for a Mk1 Morris Cooper S 1965 - I have part no 21A1109 which seems to be 0.25 " too long. Comments please

That is correct per AKD3509. Usually the engine leans back, so you have to put a jack under the remote transmission casting to cantilever it forward when fitting the steady bolt into the block.

Hi, thanks I could not locate it in the manual but have just seen it in the Minispares site.
As suggested I will jack up the remote to enable the bolts to engage on the block.
Thanks for your help .
