Origin of distributor of 1961 Austin Cooper.

Would someone please tell me the origin of dissy a DM2

with nos 40648k
BN276 1 61. The latter presumably date of manufacture.
It has been fitted in the car at least since 1969

For 61-62 Cooper a DM2P4 type 40760 would have been used. The 40648 shows up for the Mk1 850.

I'm also searching for a early 997 Cooper DM2 40760. Having given up 2000 sq ft of shop space things are much more tightly packed now. I have a storage box with DM2s just need to locate it. Steve (CTR)
