Any handbrake triggers that fit?

Post by Bitsilly »

I am supposed to have a signal for my control system that tells it when the handbrake is on.
Before I try and reinvent the wheel, does anyone know if there are perhaps later model mini handbrake switches that fit?
Or otherwise?
Cheers

Hi,
the Innocenti Minis had a switch and a control light.
The hand brake lever was different from the English models.
I‘ll try to get a picture later.
Regards
Daniel

didnt metros have a switch on them, I seem to recall robbing one off a breaker many moons ago and thinking ' that might come in useful'.

God only knows where it went...

Thanks gentlemen
I should be able to knock up something similar, maybe with a door switch type.

The late and readily available MGB handbrake warning light switch looks like an easy fix to a mini handbrake lever.

Hi there, I might have an Innocenti switch in my lock up, I’ll have a rummage around tomorrow and let you know.

Mid to late 70s Canadian cars had a switch on the handbrake. I think it had something to do with a warning buzzer behind the dash
Sure it could be used for other applications .
