I have been told there was an issue with these gaskets...water leaks.
Certain batch had this issue....anyone know how to identify the gaskets with this problem?
The one I have does have the sealing rings on the water holes.....looks like a decent product.
MS have a GEG300 copper gasket that is supposed to be very good....like to hear opinions on both of these.
Thanks and Merry Christmas.....let's hope 2022 will be a better year!

Re: Paypen BK450 Gasket
I have been using the new MS one for a while now & have no issues even on my supercharged 970.

Re: Paypen BK450 Gasket
GEG300 is on the 970 Dermot, and that has a 11:1 ish compression ratio according to the markings. Withstood all that heat in the head when I was trying to fathom out what was going on after the top end rebuild. The time when the new pump turned out to have not been drilled. Only a year and a bit but so far so good.

Re: Paypen BK450 Gasket
The dodgy BK450's I had were missing the sealing rings around water gallery holes. The last few batches I've used have been OK. Also tried a couple of GUG702560HG with good results.
My experience with GEG300's hasn't been so good. I've had a couple leak coolant down the front of the block. This was on fresh engines with refaced head and block faces. I tried using spray on gasket sealer but still leaked so went back to Payen gaskets and have had no leaks since then.

Thanks Andy and Minibitz...appreciate the feedback. Adding a couple more pictures of this Paypen BK450.
Think, based on the comments.....this may be a good gasket to use .

Re: Paypen BK450 Gasket
Has the coolant hole sealing rings so all good there. Should be a seal on oil feed hole too. If there is then it’s a good gasket
