Hinges

Post by whistler »

Are the Minispares external hinges sets suitable replacements for the original cast ones? Not sure whether to replace all the hinge pins/bushes or buy new alloy ones.

If you have a full set of hinges i would go with originals. Replacing the pins and bushes isnt a bad job, alot of the hinges i have to do have seized studs, so usually just build up a weld on it and then weld a 1/4 nut and remove.

I would rather use originals, the mini spares ones look ok but shape is a little different, they also are m6 studs
