There isn’t really such a thing as a 1275 gearbox.
Could you be more specific?
Do you mean 1275S mk 1,2,3? or 1275gt? What year?

Some of the gearboxes to up to and including the 22G1128's were stamped with the engine number or a number on the oval shaped flat pad that's roughly under the starter motor. Not all boxes I've seen were stamped, just some. It wasn't just gearboxes to 1275's that may have been stamped but any could have been done. I think all boxes fitted to the ADO16's were stamped, but don't take that as gospel.

No number on mine in that location. Reckon it's just a 4 synchro box with a 3.44 final drive. Going to be fitting a wand gear lever-got the parts (smoking pipe, gear lever, small alloy housing with rubber bush and bottom plate)........this looks straight forward-any tips?
