exhausting problem..

as i am building a mk1 mini i have been trying to keep it as original as i can.. but one problem i have stumbled upon....

mk1 obviously has a floor start.

well my problem is that the exhaust arc's off the starter button.............

i have thought i could bend the pipe but i just dunno......

anyone else had this problem?

thanks for the assistance. I kind of thought that would be the answer but building anothe rmini that could take the exhaust i have on the mk1 at the moment and if another was still available i'd have snapped it up... hey hoe. another day rolling about the floor for me....
