The warning light on the stalk on my ‘65 Elf was damaged. I have replaced the warning light and all appeared fine.
I have gone to fit the switch but when I test it, the warning light only works when the nearside is flashing. The right hand indicators work fine but the warning light does not illuminate.
Any ideas?

Re: Indicator warning lamp
The stranger the problem, the more likely it is from bad earths.
Before you try too hard to diagnose, redo all the earths and presume all connections are dry (give them a rub with wire wool including inside the connection block).
After that you can try common sense, but not before!

Re: Indicator warning lamp
Woodypup59 was correct.
I fiddled about with the switch, then removed the mechanism to clean up the terminals. All working as it should now, Thanks

Re: Indicator warning lamp
Just been out for the first drive in the car and the warning light is only working on left turns again!
I can’t remember what I did to resolve the problem the last time I had this issue.
