Austin Speedo colors

Post by cham »

Hi

I have speedometer form my Austin mk1 1961 SN 4409/01 and I am trying to fix the dial.

What is the correct color of the creamy dial?
I cannot find any information about the color reference at all.

What is the correct color of the inner dial bezel?
I found photos with it being matt black, dark red or light blue.
What color is correct?

Thank you for your ideas.

Edit:

I have to paint the speedo myself, so I need the color code or any idenitfication of the cream color.

I’ve had a couple. They’ve all been a dark maroon colour.

Does the color look like the black one on the the picture above or is it a different color?

Also, do you know anything about the color of the dial?

It looks like the bottom left in your picture. If I get out to the garage later I’ll take a picture of mine. It’s a NOS one.

Thank you for answers,

Do you have any specific info (color code, ...) about the cream color?

I have also edited the original post.
