Just a thought, instead of hammering the lugs to make the cones fit how about notching the cones instead?

So I’ve got a lovely freshly powder coated front subframe (hydro), and I’m going dry.
Just a thought, instead of hammering the lugs to make the cones fit how about notching the cones instead?
