Timing chain cover and heater motor repair work arounds

Post by 65MK1S »

The previous owner of my car for some reason needed to batter the timing
chain cover vent with a hammer to make something fit. This is the workaround
I decided upon. In order to remove the heater motor for cleanup and repair (brushes)
I destroyed the small spacers that make putting it back together with rivets easy. I
came across these binder screws that fit perfectly and allow easy dissemble when necessary.

Very nice I have been cutting and plating timing covers for years. It sure makes cleaning them out easy. I'd rather use a factory flat can cover but they are in short supply. Thanks for sharing. Steve (CTR)
