boot board brackets

Post by Dean »

i want to fit boot board in my boot, but with a wheel with a 165 tyre,

i have just tried in my other car which has a boot board, and as i though its the tyre is too high

is there rear brackets out there maybe from mini machine that are designed for a 165 tyre, or has anyone else other there have a 165 tyre as a spare with a boot board, of so how did you do it

cheers

You can get raised height brackets from M Machine which are designed to clear a 165 tyre. I have just fitted some to one of my cars, as it didn't have the bulkhead brackets fitted I just fitted them so the board was level. If your car already has them I would expect the board to sit on top of the wheel rather than in the bulkhead brackets though. I did notice that fitted the way I have done it, it is very difficult to fit a standard boot board as the gap is narrower being higher up the boot.
