I have a NOS boxed genuine mechanical fuel pump, numbered as above on the casting, pictured below
According to the 'net it is for a Maestro/Montego 1.3 A plus. I'd have thought it would fit a Mini as well ??
Can anyone confirm or advise why it wouldnt fit ? The fixed inlet/outlet ports seem to be orientated for a Mini.

Well I suppose the lobe on your cam would say if it could be fitted to a mini..
not having seen a mini cam for over 30 yrs I cant remember if they had the lobe on them to move the pump lever.

Re: Mechanical fuel pump BZX1036
That's the pump that was fitted to the engines we imported here from the UK for our Minis and Mokes from 75 to 81. As far as mechanical pumps went, they were quite good, occasionally one of the crimped in Inlet or Outlet would leak, but a few taps with a Screwdriver around the crimped ring, and they'd go for a a few more years.
As long as the Cam has a Fuel Pump lobe, there's no reason why this won't work. It does need a Spacer / Insulator to fit it, they are around 1/2" thick.

Thanks for the replies.
Seems it is correct for a mechanical fuel pumped Mini
