Having a go at restoring my 1970 Clubman GT steering wheel...anyone have a good picture of what the center piece looks like....mine is quite faded
Looks like it had a gold..ish red color outer ring!!!

The outer ring should be orangey gold.

That will be a difficult color to replicate...looks like it may be a bit of metal flake as well....maybe!

I never got round to trying to restore the one I had on the GT, but I'd always thought of translucent orange paint (like that yellow headlamp paint, but orange) then backed with silver paint. I suspected this is how they were done as the back of mine was completely silver.
