Are there any Auto Electricians , OK my car as LED rear light cluster + LED flasher unit 30w , so thought i would fit LED bulbs to the front indicators ,the nearside works OK , but the offside is acting strange - Fitted LED bulb it would not light/ flash , put the 21w ordinary bulb back in , flashes ok , so i tried the LED bulb on a battery and it works ok , next i removed the front flasher unit by disconecting the bullit conectors under the wing ,so i put two wires in the harness and and on to the bulb and the LED bulb lights up , so i tried the front flasher unit with LED bulb in on the battery and it works ok , swapped the female bullit connectors still works , connected it back up , IT DOES NOT WORK , I am baffled ??????. Any help would be appreciated ,
No i have not wired it wrong way round , works with 21w ordinary bulb ok.

Re: Front LED not flashing ???
Sounds like the flasher unit needs more load - which if it is a proper LED one it shouldn't.
If you fit all the LED lamps and then add in an the incandescent one as an extra does it all work?

Re: Front LED not flashing ???
Does the indicator unit earth through the body of the lamp housing or via a wire into the wiring harness? My suspicion is an earthing problem which doesn't show up on the incandescent bulb due to the higher current flowing compared to the LED,

Re: Front LED not flashing ???
I had a similar problem and it was a poor earth, good enough to make a ordinary bulb ok but bad enough to not allow a LED to work . Roy

Yes I know it’s not original
My wife says I don’t listen to her or something like that !

Re: Front LED not flashing ???
Goff, some LED Lamps have a Polarity on them. If it's possible, try reversing the connections to the LED itself.
If you can't, try swapping the 2 LEDs on the front with each other and see how they respond.
