Oil Cooler

Does anyone know where I can get an original style 13 row oil cooler with mounts on the bottom only ?

The ones that I've seen on sale have mounting flanges on the top and bottom.

I dont think the two flange type will fit in the original location - could be wrong but it looks pretty tight in there.

Is it just a case of grinding the top flanges off ?

Dont grind them off, make 4 long Alloy tubes, that you push in between the brackets.

Then get one of these metal pins with thread on, and make some long bolts.

I used locking nuts in one end, this way your oil cooler is boltet on, using both brackets.

That way it wont break in the joints, becourse the hoses pull/push at the top.

If appearance is really important to you, the ends can be cut from the top plate without hurting the cooler. A photo of the cooler is attached, not great but you might be able to get the idea.

On another note, if you need a 13 row oil cooler, you obviously race in very hot weather...
