Hi guys, as some of you may have seen in the projects thread i am putting an a+ 1310 engine in my mk1 historic rep, got the subframe ready, picking the engine up over the weekend. I am starting to think about what bits i need to get the engine sat in the subframe.
For the actual engine mount i will be using these:

Then will a bracket like this work for the radiator bracket?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/classic-mini ... %7Ciid%3A1
Then i am using a fletcher or minispares alloy rad, will a fan shroud like this work? or do i need something from a MK1? Bit unsure as i havent done anything like this before.

Any advice much appreciated.

Hi Harry.
Why don't you use a two piece Mk1 radiator shroud?
I have a Minispares Rad wich fitted perfect in the two piece shroud on my 8 port engine. And the cooling works perfect!

The engine mounts you've linked are the cheaper versions - for the sake of a few quid, go for the 21A1902 (not 21A1902MS) ones.

On my old racer the lower shroud was modified to get better access to the rad pipe. Am sure there is a good pic of a neat one on here somewhere. Mine was butchered in a hurry
Also slotted the upper shround at an angle - so that the nuts were put in first the the shroud dropped over... the angled slot meant it got tighter as it slid on. A real game changer when servicing the car

If fitting a 1275 engine you’ll need the Cooper and S two piece shroud and lower bracket; they’re different to standard small bore ones to allow space for the crank damper.
Ask me how I know ...

Harrymini if you are fitting a 1275 engine be aware you may need to make clearance to fit the fan belt over the bottom pulley.
The harmonic damper makes things a tad tight.
I had to modify mine to allow the fan belt to go over the pulley!

I hope that those 2 subframe spacers weren't out of the car you are currently re-assembling. They should go between the front subframe towers & the body crossmember.

The two piece radiator shroud is bolted into place or were they welded in place......

Two piece shrouds are held in place by 6 set screws, or occasionally self tappers.
