Walsall and Speedwell? Steering Wheels Need INFO
I'm looking for more information on these two wheels. The slotted wheel is marked Walsall Wheels England. No marks on the other, and it is deeply dished. Both look to be Mahogany. The Walsall seems much better quality.

The one on top is an Les Leston. made by Walsall

The nicest wood steering wheel I've found is an Australian SAAS 13", wooden wheel with finger grips. They are only slightly dished and the 13" diameter allows a steering column drop bracket. The one I found was a solid wood colour but when I refinished it I found the construction to be multiple laminated layers which I liked so I just varnished it. Beaker likes it too.
