HiF44 choke cable
The original choke cable isn’t long enough and doesn’t have the right end for the HiF44 carb I’m using.
Any recommendations for one that would do the job and that has a knob that wont look out of place on the switch plate?
Ditto for the heater cable!
I’ve done a search but I’m still non the wiser, seems it’s a bit hit and miss?

Re: HiF44 choke cable
It's available. The correct HIF44 one has a plastic ferrule on the end which clips into the throttle plate. We always stocked them in my shop and I may have one still, but M Spares will supply one.

Another option you could keep the original choke cable for looks and fit a new one another under the shelf out of sight. Its a security aid as well.
If you put a lock screw on the old cable it will still appear to work.

Re: HiF44 choke cable
There is no special end required on the cable. You do need the correct abutment plate and clip though, to hold the cable to the abutment plate. CAM4942 is the plate, CZK6491 is the clip to hold the cable to the plate and the cable connects to the carb with AUE34, same as most HS style carbs.

Docka, I've posted photographs of the HIF44 carb I use to test run engines because the linkages are so easy and suit nearly all Minis and ADO16s.
Is your carb like this standard HIF44?

Perhaps the abutment plate is different, I’ll checkminibitz wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 4:49 am There is no special end required on the cable.
