Twin HS2 set up for 1964 1071

Just putting together a set of HS2 carbs.
Q. Does the heat shields bolt to the manifold after a gasket? Or does it go, manifold, gasket, spacer, gasket, heat shield, gasket, carb?

I have a set of twin hs2 waiting to go on and on mine order is manifold,gasket,heatshield,gasket,spacer,gasket,carb. Hoping that is correct. My heat shields have been cut down for some reason so might change them to full size ones.

Mine have also always been, manifold, gasket, heat shield, gasket, spacer, gasket, Carb as well.

Some aftermarket exhaust manifolds can foul against the heat shield if the heat shield is installed before the spacer. Sometimes doing it the other way around can get you a bit of clearance.
