Try supplier Technispray Paints. Catherine St; Birmingham B6 5RS .. tel 01213268020 tell them what you want to do & get their advice on what / how to use
i re-paint my leather seats & have done a headlining so its hard wearing finish that does not crack .. i first use their wipe on Surface Prep stuff that somehow make the plastic or leather surface have the key to accept the covering Paint.. not cheap but good stuff :) comes in a rattle can.

There is a thread elsewhere on here the I have yet to find, but I too have sprayed a headlining and sun visors with great results using (http://www.kolorbond.co.uk/vinylkote-pa ... ther-vinyl). I think most of these products are the sameish with both dye and paint. Cleanliness is everything and if you get an undercoat in light white first it hides the marks before the topcoat.

Oh, and I did it in 1989 and it still looks good, assuming you don't miss the glue stains of course ;-)

The Boss of Techspray Birmingham advised me to use their "Vinyl Prep" just a good wipe over of the surface with this stuff before applying their Kolorbond Paint ..with his advice i did not apply any primer just a couple of coats of topcoat from the rattle can & it covered the Headlining Glue stains.. also did my cream mk1 Recaro Leather Seats .. also a Microcell with a colour change from blue to black .. all look good after repaint with this Kolorbond stuff and the painted seats do not crack the surface finish in use so very pleased :D

I sprayed mine Brian, this link should take you my build thread

I used TRG super colour vanilla 355/67. About 5 cans I think it was for all of the cream crackle parts.

On a similar topic,

Has anyone used a form of filler etc? to repair holes in the headlining?

The van I'm building has a nice headlining other than two screw holes from an extra light, so if i could fill these and paint as above id be very happy!
