which are the best to fit is my question.

Re: group 2 arches
The fit of Somerfords was good, but when I last tried to buy some they were NLA. Their GRP supplier had stopped working and they had not found a reliable replacement. May be they are available again and at the same quality.
I’ve used Minispares ones, which are fine, but they do need beefing up around the mounting points and some time with a tin of chopped strand fibreglass paste correcting this and the fit to the wings is worth the effort.

Re: group 2 arches
Even the originals needed fettling Nick, I had some moulds made of mine years back and the local surfboard manufacturer did a great job. We soon found out that not all profiles of the car itself were the same though.

Re: group 2 arches
These are from Huddersfield Minispares. They fit well without much fettling, and the gel coat is good enough for something that is not too showy

Re: group 2 arches
I have a set of original ST Gp 2 arches and these are as bad as any of the modern ones. I also know the guy who used to supply these to ST. He said they were always a terrible fit
In my experience GRP stuff from Tony at ABS is as good as anybodies, but GRP arches will always take quite a bit of fitting.
