Before I reassemble my clutch is it advisable to use clutch grease on the splines of primary gear and clutch plate?
Is it necessary or a risk of contamination causing another strip down?

Old timer I worked with sweared by using graphite powder (No idea where you get it, but he had a biscuit tin full in his tool box!)
I usually fit them dry or with some ptfe dry lube spray.

"using graphite powder (No idea where you get it " Locksmiths or B&Q used for lubricating locks.
As both replies above as the clutch dust will stick to grease.

If anyone wants graphite powder then pm me I can post you a little sealy bag for a quid to cover postage as I’ve got a tub at work we use for auto screw-feeders and we are now phasing them out so it’s going to become redundant.
Horrible black shite which stays on your hands for a week as a little go’s a very long way
