Just having a clear out of some parts and I've come across this brake m/c
I'm not sure if it's an S type,
The base looks a bit bigger than the one on my mk1, bore size is .70
Any ideas?
Came in unipart box p/no S350 E7??

Re: S brake master cylinder
How do you tell?
I have a tall 0.7 m/c in my spares stash. Don't know what it was from.
ID info appreciated.

The mounting flange is a big one. The S had a smaller flange to it which means the holes are closer to the rim

ADO16 brake masters are 3/4 bore not 0.70
That is a later S master cylinder. Early ones were small foot , later and replacement ones were big foot .
