headlamps
hi all,ive just removed the headlamps from my 62 mk1 to find the side light bulbs taped to the outside of the units with masking tape as there is no hole for them just a clear patch in the glass! is this standard practice? i intend buying a new pair of lamps with the correct holes but the side light bulb holders are missing. can anybody direct me to a picture showing the correct holders, were they metal?

Re: headlamps
On the later cars with sealed beams the side light was part of the connector for the headlamps, so they only left a clear spot on the headlamps for it to shine through (like the ones you have) you need 2 metal holders for the side lights that just push through the holes in the old (depending on age) pre focus lights, the bulbs must be held in something at the moment, are they metal?
