Just been getting the Mini Marcos back on the road. Big trouble getting started, finally traced to a fuel starvation problem. The rubber sealing ring at the base of the HS4 carb float chamber that seals the nylon flexi-pipe had perished and just about completely blocked the fuel passage. Can't blame this on unleaded petrol as the tank still contained what must be the last gallon of original 4-star leaded petrol in the UK...
So if you are running HS carbs and think you may have fuel starvation problems here is another place to check.
