Well as far as I can see this is an very nice original Mini,
she has even an original sumpgart
All the parts are there so that is one problem less
Enjoy it

Kees.
If you like I can send you black/white copys from an Italian magazine
about the Mk3 Innocenti Mini.

What a fantastic project and very original, it even still has the sardine tin clips on the top hose! Over the years I've restored a 1300 Export and a MK1/2 crossover model, the differences between the Italian and UK built cars is mind boggling and will keep you busy for years. If you take anything off the car don't throw it away, 95% of the parts used are unique to Innocenti Minis and getting harder and harder to find.
Are the wheels date stamped under the hubcaps, month/year? Does it have the 12G295 Cooper head?

I’m not sure about the date stamp on the wheels or the head it is very original indeed, it’s covereed up until I decide what to do with it, it’s probably one of the most original minis I’ve ever owned and even requiring a roof skin probably one of the best shells

It always amazed me that given how strike prone and unproductive Longbridge was, why Innocenti couldn't tool up for RHD and fire a few thousand of these across in the seventies. The Cooper 1300 - to my mind better than anything Longbridge made - would have been a real hit here. The Mini was still an untapped goldmine in the seventies and BL just didn't realise it.
Idiots.

Yes considering the finish of the innocenti body wise they would have outlived a lot of cars that have gone to rust heaven

One of those rare situations where fitting a full length webasto is probably the right thing to do!
