I need to order a few bits this week, hoping to start my car up for the first time since its resto in the next week or so, really looking forward to it!
I need to get a battery and a new coil...and wondered what people are using and what they would recommend?
its a basic mk1 with no additional electrical equipment/guages, it has a lightly modified 1275 engine and i have an aldon electronic ignition kit for the distributor to replace the points.
should i get an Aldon coil? or will a standard one be fine?
and for the battery...i'm going to be using the car only in good weather (and we know how much of that we get!), so i guess it will have one of those trickle chargers on it most of the time in the garage....is there a good one to go for? or does it not really matter?
