Long Battery Cable

Need to replace the solenoid-->battery cable. Any advice? Someone has suggested welding cable. 1963 Cooper.

So far I think I need SGT type cable approximately 127". Should I use 4 ga or 2 ga?

35mm Welding cable works a treat. You have to put your own ends on though. Most "normal" flexible cables are not flexible enough for this application.

Having said that the Autosparks stuff in the link above looks like the correct stuff & is not that badly priced, assuming the price is up to date. I am an Electrical Wholesaler during the day & we have to increase our cable prices a couple of times a week at the moment due to the increase in copper prices.

I ended up getting #4 welding cable at a little over $1/foot. Seems to be great so far. Thanks so much for the advice.
