Hi guys,
A friend of mine has just aquired a mk1 (probably!)
I haven't seen it yet but it's in the usual kit form!
No documents yet and he hasn't found the chassis plate in any of the boxes yet either!
All we have is the FE number: FE 1160704
It has Cooper badges on what appear to be original bonnet and boot - I'm not convinced it is a Cooper but of course he wants it to be!
Any help you can offer? Can you even tell the model from the FE?
FE number question

Re: FE number question
No you can't tell the model from the number, and I'd hazard a guess from that number it's late '66 / early '67 though I'm sure the man with the knowledge will confirm it for you when he arrives back from the Monte !

Re: FE number question
The man from the Monte - he'd say it was from Q3 1967 making it quite a late Mk1.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who do not possess it.

Re: FE number question
Excellent, I shall pass the info along.
Now all he has to do is sort out all the right bits!
