Costello 7 port

Post by Jack of all trades »

This is more or less a question to who ever knows anything;

Today i recieved a photo of Ken Costello working on a mk2 cooper S.

On this car he fitted a 7 port head of his own development at first with amals and later with webers.

This car was raced early ´70 ies in Holland by Gerard Schuiten who was TVR importer at that time.

Was this the only one that existed or are there more.

I will ad the picture later as Photobucket isn´t working at the moment.

Very cool, I like his atire too.

I was speaking to my old school engine builder recently and he said he had drawn up plans for his own design of cylinder head but had never got to cast it...

I'd say Keihins, the ones in the pic are a diaphram type thing like a stromberg, Amal never had anything like that.
