Vertical oil cooler finish's?
Working on the final details of a 1071 restoration and wanted to know how the brackets, tubes, and cooler were finished? Best I can tell is upper and lower brackets were semi gloss black, cooler natural aluminum, with grey, or silver plates. tube ends left natural brass finish, and lines were clear zinc.

Can confirm all over silver paint with the number ARA 167 stencilled on the union face. No evidence of any paint on the pipes, and unions which appear as you say. Brackets (from memory) were semi gloss black but can't find them at the mo to confirm...NicholasUpton wrote:Working on the final details of a 1071 restoration and wanted to know how the brackets, tubes, and cooler were finished?
