Island Blue brush on enamel

Post by kingfisher »

Anyone know were I can get a supply of brush on enamel for 'Island blue' BU8.
I can get spray obviously, and aerosol, but need some brush-on for underneath.
I know Moss sell tiny tins (which don't normally match), but need a larger amount.
Anyone bought colour match brush on for their Mini?

I used a local motor factor who does aerosols and just took a pot to put the paint in

Try searching for Coach Enamel, they are lots of suppliers up and down the country.

Synthetic enamel can be mixed at most motor paint suppliers and is ideal for brush or roller, I have used it in the past and it gives a pretty good finish for underside. Jawel is one supplier that can do it, sometimes it is listed as tractor paint.

Still having a bit of bother getting a specific colour in brush enamel.

All the local suppliers can give me 2 pack or small aerosol, but I want enamel in the specific colour. They offer to give something close, but for some reason, in enamel, they don't appear to supply the exact BU8 match!

Moss do 125ml touch up tins, but need a larger amount.

Any ideas?

If you can't get it in a coach enamel, have you thought of brushing 2k? I cannot think why it wouldn't be successful?

I've just brush painted the floor of my Mini with 2K Almond Green from a local motor factor and the results were excellent.

It seems to flow out and all the brush marks magically disappear.
