EN40B crank.
Just dug out a 1275 EN40B crank with 1.75" B/E journals, any idea what this is from. Thanks.
Forgot to add that it is cross drilled too.

Re: EN40B crank.
I'm fairly sure, given that it's 1275 with 1.75" BEs and EN40B that this is not a factory crank.
Mini Spares had about 1000 of these made in the early 90's, from forgings. Given that it is a forged crank and not from Billet, I'm guessing that it would be one of these.

Re: EN40B crank.
Dug out another EN40B crank with 1.75" big ends but this one has CAM 6232 stamped on it and what looks like an 'A' in a triangle. I seem to remember these came from a friend who used to race in the Metro Turbo challenge series, would the factory have made them for the series or are they Minispares ones. This one is crossed drilled as well.

Gee, you seem to be able to lay your hands on some rare bits!
As best as I can determine, again, a Mini Spares Crank, but nothing in the world wrong with them. They were made under the same roof as those were for the factory as by that time they were outsourced.

Bhahaha,,,, I've got some catching up to do! I think I've about 30 odd years of 'junk'!
I think it was Shackletons who were making the cranks for Rover by that time, and Mini Spares had theirs done there too.

AEG316 is a 1275 Cooper S crank. Typically not cross drilled. If I remember correctly cross drilling "officially" started with the AEG480 that followed on the 316

Re: EN40B crank.
Thanks Abri, it has come out of a 1275 S engine but I was surprised by the amount of information on it.
It is 10/10 at the moment but needs a grind and will go back into the engine which has nice low mileage plus 60 pistons.
