Valuation - S engine

Post by Thorp »

Hi All,

What's the value these days of a complete Mk1 1275 S engine (thin flange block) less gearbox.

Block is currently sitting on +40 and never been decked/linered, correct AEG163 head, forged rockers, Crank on std / std (prob needs a grind), 177 rods, Cooper S Distributor. It looks like someone refurbed it in the 80's and its been sitting since after doing a small amount of running.

I do appreciate that value and what people pay on ebay are quite different things.

Thanks
swifty

I would have thought value around £2,500 to £3,000 if the heads a good one with no cracks . ... Ken
