Lifting this off the earlier FE/Body numbers post...
This faint paint on the rear quarter of a Woody's smooth roof seems to indicate a panel ID...perhaps including the date January 27. 1962 (roof on external tank Countryman).
The shell was walnut blasted more than a decade ago removing all paint & primer but this image.
What think the experts??

Looks like the sheet steel manufacturers confirmation marking to me.
