I have just refitted the sliding door glass to my Australian 1964 Morris 850 (MkI Mini), which is nearing the end of a protracted rebuild/restoration.
Unlike the rear quarter glass and windscreens, which are all Triplex Toughened glass, the sliders are all Tuftest Safety Glass. I have never seen it before and can't find anything about it on the Web. It may have been Australian made, as BMC in Australia progressively increased local content to get around trade tariffs.
If anyone does know about the Tuftest brand, I would like to know if there is any way to date code it? I can't see any obvious pattern of markings, other than the name script. Unlike Triplex there are no standard markings like AS2 or BS numbers evident.
Cheers
