Heater upgrade

Hello,

I need to rebuild my heater box. While I am at it I was wondering if there were any modifications/upgrades that could be made to help improve its output. I was wondering if anyone had successfully installed a more powerful motor. Any ideas? I want to keep the original box and would like it to all appear to be original but with a higher output. Maybe - with a little work - you could "hide it" inside original heater casing?
