Well you must have the only Mk2 that left the factory with a rod change in 69 or even later.

Re: chasis id
Hi Chris,
seen your earlier posts, that Chassis number is from Malta Police , that's why it starts with CHMP, as happened to a lot of Mini's, lost it's chassis plate during the years and had the number stamped by the police.

Hi yes I am from Malta and I would like to track down the original car numbers. So you think the car was a police car since it started with chmp. So 1969 mk2 850 never had a rod change as this is rod change . I would like to keep the car original thanks for helping me

No, chassis plate lost and had the new number stamped by the police, that's why it starts with CHMP.

Re: chasis id
Hi guys, today I spent 4 hours at the ADT. I found out that the police originally bought the car, and it was originally sandy beige color. (the car is right now red) and also on logbook is described as red. I will be keeping its original color. I also have its original chassis no. 667652, could this be correct as I thought they were different.
Can anyone tell me what on the right side of the fender I have a number 215S103155A what this is ?
would anyone know if this mk2 car would come out entirely in a sandy beige color, (roof and all) or could it be it had a black roof? and sandy beige body.
would like to keep it as original as possible.
thanks for your help friends

I'm not sure about export cars, but I have a MK2 in monotone Sandy Beige here in the UK.
That number you have quoted is probably your Chassis number although mine starts A-A2SBS- *******A

Re: chasis id
that's my worry. I have the original file and original paper work of which the contract was signed in 1969, but that number is just a 667652 no. it has nothing to do with my cooper s chassis number. even the engine no. is different.
so your 1969 mk2 850 came out in monotone?
thanks

Re: chasis id
667652 could well be the chassis number for a late Mk 2 Morris Mini. The prefix should be M-A2S6.
