Fitting lower rear quarter panels
Can anybody offer any advise on the best way to fit lower rear quarter panels ie bottom 2 inches without warping the metal? Cheers. Mark

Re: Fitting lower rear quarter panels
As long as you weld in small sections, cooling it with a damp cloth and dress it as you go it won't be too bad.
Or you could spot weld a strip of metal along the inside top edge of the new panel 10 or 15 mm high.
When fitted, spot weld the the strip to the inside of the cut 1/4 panel.
Then finish by mig welding the edges of the old and new panel on the out side, cooling it as you go,then sand it flush with the panel surface.
This way it's not essential to get the edges butting together.
