Hardly been to any events this year in my Mini but did enjoy a day-out yesterday in the sunshine at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. Huge variety of classic cars including a decent sprinkling of Minis. Not many Mk1s but something for everyone including a superb Moke and a tidy Mk2 woody. I was amused to hear more than one person describe my (1967) car as a "very early Mini" despite production having been started 8 years before mine was built. I suppose the man in the street sees few "sliding window" Minis nowadays.
