An oddball selection of pics from me together with my thanks for a great day and not just to our esteemed organisers, Mark, Peter and the gang, but to EVERYONE that invested time, money, effort and enthusiasm in the event.
It was just what the doctor ordered and brought a much needed boost to the mini scene here in the north - fngers X for a repeat exercise in 2015!
Cars bask in the Saturday evening sunshine:
LBL arrives:
Spark plug storage in the car:
Sunday morning and the car's still there despite some undesirables hanging around:
Kevin Murray's Maguire also proved popular:
More plastic to gawp at:
Pathetic attempt at trying to age a repro sticker:
Surf preparing for a quiet little tootle around the track in Tim Harber's car:
Cheers, Niall
PS I don't know how many others tried out the excellent little karting track but I took my (naughty) nephews along there at lunchtime and all was going well until this incident which saw one of them end up in the bloody field across the other side of the road!

Which is yours Murph?
I was gutted to have to pull out, but with the car in bits it wasn't going to happen. We left it too late to come down as speccies as no accommodation booked and 2-3 hours each way doesn't fit with travel sickness

Just a Mk 3 me and my lad put together for the day, 19k from new, one lady owner!, sorted the suspension, standard 1275 unit, put one of my plates on it, and off we go !

A few more of mine now added to the set
(I salute Simon's efforts to set the day apart from the usual 'spit 'n polish' car show!)

Pathetic attempt at trying to age a repro sticker:

Cookie1071........I think you may need to go to specsavers!
I've had the car for 26 years and the sticker was in there when I got it and probably many years before that!
May seem hard to believe but the car and stickers are 100% genuine
So in my mind that pathetic repro sticker must be 30+ years old!
Nice picture by the way.

My reply to this thread seems to have vanished into the ether so this is a second attempt.
Fan-bloody-tastic day ! The Jeff/Barrie double act on Sat night was a great start to the weekend. My brother attended his first ever event (with my nephew taking pix) and both of them were truly thrilled.
Seeing a piece of Sheffield history in the shape of the Coldwell twin cam on the track 50 years after its first appearance, brilliant. Bill had a great time even though he now has a seriously bent front subframe to replace.
Thanks to all who bought bitz from me and sold me even more to keep the van full !
Was I the only one with a name badge ?
Finally sorry to those I didn't recognise, my memory gets worse with age.
3 cheers for Pete and Mark…….

Cheers Pete, but if it wasn't for you arranging for me to shadow the Javelin photographer I would not have been able to get any decent angles.
I have barely scratched the surface today of what I took but here just a few to start with. Unfortunately the rest will not be posed up until the end of the week as I will be off line Until Sunday night.
By the way Andys' Inno is stunning
That's me in the passenger seat of a guy called simon's lush Downton Cooper. I assume he's on here.
didn't get any pictures of my car on track though.
a brilliant day and some wonderful people/cars

It was amazing, and it worth 100x the trip (2600kms) !
Thanks to Mark, Pete and everybody who were involved in the organisation. I'll put some pics later this afternoon.
Anybody knows how to contact the photographer who sell the cd for 20£ ? I forgot to buy him one..
Alex.

Once again thanks to Pete and Mark for a great day. As always, it's nice to catch up with so many great people and friends. Perhaps next year I will finally finish a car off to bring! Blasting round in Dans metro turbo was good fun though, even if it's owner maybe didn't think so! Roll on next year.

I take my hat off to you Alex and Nicolas and crew, that's quite some road trip for you and the 8 port not only sounded black flaggingly great but went like a rocket. I didn't get a photo disc either but you can contact the photographer here (give your name, car number and description of it. ie colour) :
http://www.xtreme-sports-photography.co.uk/
It's three days since I contacted the photographer and still no reply so I wouldn't hold your breath,
BUT I'm sure of the 2000 photos that our Stuart took (many trackside) he'd be able to put you a disc together for a couple of quid.
