Cant echo the positive comments enough, on our way home still, feeling a bit sunburnt? And tired but happy even though things didnt go to plan with the mini, 1 lap only! And that was at walking pace!

Re: MK1 Action Day
Long time lurker but had to log on to congratulate Mark, Pete and everyone else who helped to make the day a success. One of the best Mini events I've been to for a long time, and that's coming from someone who was trackside.
A great day and over far too quickly.
Thanks for all the hard work,
Ian

the perfect mini show
the right people, the right cars, the right venue, the right atmosphere
a HUGE thanks to pete & mark, the traders who made the effort, the autojumblers who made the effort, the blyton and javlin staff, the photographer bloke who charged £20 for a disc full of photos, and of course the people who brought the cars to go on the track and just to watch.

WOW Honestly I just cant smile wide enough....,what a simply fantastic event, simply awesome....just got to say a big thank you to Pete & Mark for making this happen,if only half of the shows put on in this country were half as much fun as this event WOW....it was relaxed and spacious, the track is a little cracker...the whole event was buzzing from start to finish...It was most certainly populated with the right cars, and the right people.......AWESOME
P.S. it was great to place the faces to the names...everyone who attended should give themselves a big pat on the back, for making the effort, taking part, and making it the fantastic day it was...It would be wrong of me to try and pick a highlight....this event punched way above it's weight
THANK YOU AGAIN PETE AND MARK...(you did everyone proud)
Mick

Re: MK1 Action Day
Managed to get there for a couple of hours. What a brilliant event and well done to Pete and Mark.
Next year I'm camping even if I'm still in the German bus.
Any chance of a sticker?

What a brilliant event and I didn't even take part in the track day. It makes a change to see some action rather than just lines of cars.
Some fantastic cars and amazing modified A Series engines.
Big thanks to Pete and Mark for making this happen. Bring on the next one

Re: MK1 Action Day
Awesome is an overused word but applies perfectly in this case. Many thanks to Mark and Pete for your efforts. How about a 6 monthly event ?
My only concern is that the bar has been set very high and that borefests like Himley and the like just won't cut the mustard anymore.
Cheers everyone

Re: MK1 Action Day
What a great day. Thank you to everyone that was involved in making it so good. We enjoyed every second of it.
One of the smallest shows I been to but one of the best, because it was small, and organised by like minded people who have a big passion in early minis and just wanting to enjoy them. Like a extension of this forum
I again was not one of the lucky ones to have a car there and get out on the track. But it was great to stand and watch. I took loads a photos but yet to get home to plonk them on the computer.
I really hope this show happens again next year, but please don't change a thing,
keep it small ,keep it simple, makes a BIG difference .
I bet this is how mini show started , back all thoses years ago !!!
And again thank you.

Re: MK1 Action Day
Congratulations to everyone involved, we had an awesome day. It really was a great location and turn out. It was my first ever time ever on track and after a few times at giving it some practice I started to get into the swing of things. Whizzo was watching and asked my Dad if he could sit in and coach me which was cool.
Sorry for stopping one of the morning sessions... The nuts on the clutch plunger wound them selves in and stopped any arm travel what so ever so I could press the clutch.
I was also black flagged and told to calm down after exiting the same corner twice on the gravel... Ooooops.
All in all a great day and a great way to test out my car.
Roll on next year!

Re: MK1 Action Day
Bloody brilliant day ..even though I blew my diff up it was kind of compensated by winning a cup for the longest oil slick of the day.
At least I think thats what I got it for
Well done, and thanks Mark and Pete.
(also all the other guys that I spoke too today..great bunch)
