Have fun with UPR Dean. You'll soon get used to people coming up and asking questions and telling you their Mini stories. Also you'll also get more waves, and thumbs up, per mile than any other car.

I never had any problem come MOT time, there's so little to test the MOTer always just hung around not doing much just to use up the time he was logged onto the VOSA system.
Now all you need is some nice sunny weather to enjoy that bright powder blue interior.

If your touch up is the right shade you may still be able to get that repaired without a repaint, depending on how big it is. I wouldn't rush into painting the roof just for weekend. Give me a call Dean.

The scratch seriously will repair out Dean. Like Pete says, dont rush into painting the roof for that! With a bit of time and care it will just blend in and match the cars nice patina!

Mini dean if you've got some paint here's a great tip . Get a grey scotchbrite and key up around the scratch and into the scratch . Panel wipe it off . If it's clear over base mix a bit of lacquer in with the colour and a bit of hardener . Touch it up and make sure the bit you've touched up is higher than the paint on the shell . Leave overnight to dry . Then with a bit of 1500 wet and dry wrapped around a rubber block lightly flatten down until it's level , then T cut it up . .... Ken

Hi Dean,
UPR looks spectacular!
Don't worry about your newly acquired scratch before the weekend, no one is going to worry about it.
Have you thought about one of the "Chips Away" type firms who paint the damage not the car. I used a firm called "Dent Devil" a few years ago to sort some pretty serious damage on my 850 & after an afternoons work it was as good as new.

Dean, dont be embarrassed about scratching the roof. We have all been there at some point.Your car still looks great.
And............. I will be at Blyton and I have a much bigger scratch than you on my roof.

The tip I mentioned wasn't me having a wild guess at how to do it . As part of my car repair business's I had this type of : chip away ; service . It's how it's done . .... Ken

Beautiful car and congrats on the trophy and the hard work.
Could you elaborate on the rear seat belts - I'd like to fit similar to my '64 Surf blue woody for the kids.
Thanks.
Great colour btw!

I got the seat belts from
https://www.seatbeltplanet.com I got seatbelt mounting brackets from Sommerford mini. The brackets dont seem to be listed so you might need to call them? Good luck

Great, thanks for the link and info. What particular model did you go for, at first glance there's a lot of choice!
