Master cylinders were on back to front and wrong way, so they have been swapped.

And finally added the number plate and plate light.

Big day tomorrow, hoping to get glass and interior fitted with the help of coopertim.

Paddy signed that at the IMM/Mini 50 at Crofton Park in 2009.

..and I hope you've learned a lesson there Dean, don't put an engine back in without at least changing the water pump first ! (just wish I'd remebered to say that before you did ! )

For someone that's never built a Mini you've done very well, it's a great car isn't it. Once you've completed it the problem is you'll want to do another !

Im not sure it was the water pump? I changed the bypass hose and didn't get the jubilee clip on properly. Im not 100% certain if that was the problem because I took the rad off but hopefully that sorted it. I believe that surfblue 63 fitted a new water pump 3 years ago so it should be ok? (fingers crossed)

New water pump, with correct thin impellor, fitted by Green and Whites in 2009.

OK, I got an unexpected day off today so I spent the day in the garage. Just got to put the front seats and belts in and a little snagging then MOT and hopefully on the road.

Where's the side pieces for the heater and the trim for the central floor box section? And another set of carpets get fitted. You will probably have to make the hole for the gear lever bigger as the carpet will probably lift up when you move the lever into 1st and 3rd.

UPR is almost complete. I just need to fit the braided petrol pipe to the carb in the engine bay, the front grill and then she is ready for the MOT. I had it booked in for tomorrow but its forecast rain so I think i'll cancel it.

Looking awesome Dean! From a rolling shell to a superb original unrestored mini in a matter of weeks! A real tale of perseverance! :D
